There is currently an initiative to establish a new official polyamory flag via a worldwide community vote.

I support this initiative and will be discontinuing my flag design in order to support the new flag.

In with the new

I kept the color scheme of the original polyamory pride flag, reworked it to be easier on the eyes, and swapped out the pi symbol for the infinity heart.

It holds the same meaning as the original with a fresh new look.

The official polyamory flag uses four colors with specific meanings:

  • Blue represents the openness and honesty among all partners.

  • Red represents love and passion.

  • Black represents solidarity with those who must hide those relationships from the outside world.

  • Gold represents the value that we place on the emotional attachment to others as opposed to only physical relationships.

I love what these colors represent! However, if you’ve seen the official polyamory flag you may not find it very pleasant to look at. The colors are quite harsh. I tweaked the color palette to be a lot easier on the eyes while keeping the same general color scheme and meaning.

What's different from the original flag?

The colors have been adjusted to be much easier on the eyes.

The bars have been reordered to avoid the harsh blue to red transition.

The infinity heart symbol is used instead of pi.

The symbol has been made much bigger, touching all of the bars instead of being contained within the middle bar.
